Children’s Homes

Residential homes for children up to 18 years of age

Welcome to our children’s homes.

A safe place for children and young people

We offer a safe place for children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect and abuse. We endeavour to provide thoughtfully designed environments to enable young people to thrive and allow them to feel safe, secure and nurtured, whilst building the resilience to develop into adults.

We work through building appropriate attachments and modelling good behaviour. We are open, and discuss any issues we have and we encourage the children to discuss their issues and concerns.

We create an atmosphere where shared experiences are the norm; we have shared meals and shared activities while also encouraging and supporting individual activities and events.

The staff celebrate religious and cultural festivals and events and encourage new ideas.

Above all staff at our homes come to the home prepared to give their all for the benefit of the children.

  1. We value the needs, rights and views of every child.
  2. We value and celebrate individuality, difference and diversity.
  3. We value and promote each child’s health and wellbeing.
  4. We value an environment which provides a gateway to the best of our ability for children to effectively communicate and break down communication barriers they may have.
  5. We value self-esteem and resilience as essential to every child’s development.
  6. We value and uphold confidentiality and agreements about confidential information are respected as appropriate unless a child’s protection is at risk.
  7. We value individualised care to help and support each child with any struggles they may face e.g. communication or behavioural difficulties.
  8. We value the sharing of professional knowledge, skills and values in order to work as a transparent team enabling each child to fulfil their best potential.

We believe in the dignity and respect for all people especially the children in our homes.
